Alle RückmeldungenNeptune’s curse is taking place right inside Rickmer’s Rickmer boat museum which gives a very confidential aspect to it, as you are waiting for your escape and escape right in the middle of people looking and reading at information panels.

Unlike the rest of the Hidden in Hamburg rooms that we had the chance to try, the Curse of Neptune didn’t feel as immersive to me as the other as we were in a boat and the room was decorated as a boat but it’s actually a good shout as you did felt in the deep of a boat as it’s a very impressive room which stays true to the story: find Netpune tridents. Unfortunately, the room wasn’t yet translated to English so we missed a bit of the story and immersion, but once it will be translated it should bring a lot to the strength of the room theme.
The room seems to be mostly for a small amount of players due to the narrow size of each room but then again; some puzzles and moments are inclusive to all players. One puzzle in particular included each one of us in our team of 5 players, and that was a really good touch; one of my favourite puzzles of the weekend in Hamburg, and one of the most inclusive puzzles I’ve ever seen before.
Two puzzles were broken when we played, one of them involved a magnet which unfortunately detached and fell out of reach. It was impossible without the magnet to complete the game but fortunately one person of our team had very small hands and could complete the puzzle. But if she weren’t there; we would have been stuck and would probably have needed the Game Master to enter the room. Another puzzle had its ‘success lights’ that didn’t work so it didn’t give us a complete feeling of achievement but from what we understood, the Curse of Neptune is still quite a recent room so it explains that they might still be working on those issues.
We haven’t tried the other room in Rickmer’s Rickmer “Captain Overboard” so can’t compare with it, but I would highly advise visitors in Hamburg to book The Curse of Neptune to experience yet another great adventure with a strong quantity and quality of puzzles!
